WITNESS
In late 2008 the WITNESS Board of Trustees decided that the right course of action was to ask a firm of Administrators to take over the administration of the company and charity. We are working with our partners, funders, creditors and other stakeholders to help bring WITNESS out of administration. Options for the future beyond administration are under active consideration. For now, with the exception of the survivor group which we are providing meeting space for, WITNESS no longer provides any free service for the public. We continue to provide training on professional boundaries and some support work under contract to the General Social Care Council. We have maintained our capacity to deliver these services and are moving forward on new contracts with a range of partners.
In summary, WITNESS continues to provide services where directly funded and, despite this challenging time, we strongly believe that there is a huge need for work on all aspects of professional boundaries and preventing abuse. We are positive about securing a long-term for our activities and are discussing a range of ways of achieving this future.
